My Intact™ Biopsy Experience
When I went to have my breast biopsy, I was taken and
placed on the stereotactic table. The doctor and technologists
prepared me by telling me how the procedure would be
done and what to expect. I was told what was happening
each step of the way. The hardest part was lying on
the table and not being able to see what was going on.
The doctor injected the anesthetic and waited a few
minutes for it to take effect. I felt nothing after
the injection and everyone in the room was so pleasant
and professional. The doctor explained that I might
feel some pinching during the procedure, but I felt
nothing! The procedure was a lot faster than I expected.
On my way home after the procedure, I did not experience
any pain. The only discomfort I felt was a little soreness
when I raised my arm. By the next day, I was feeling
just fine and couldn’t even tell that I had had any
procedure done. The area where the incision was made
healed fine without any issues.

“We had two
instances in which we removed the entire lesion
and in both instances we told the patient they
didn’t need to have an open surgical procedure
because it’s gone.”
